Flower Card Using Vintage Book Pages

On this rainy Friday, I pottered about making this card. Colour-washed background paper; flowers punched from a vintage book; faux pearls for the centre of the flowers; wonky donkey stitching for the stem; a scrap of lace; a butterfly and dragonfly.

Pink Climbing Roses....Happy Birthday Card

A pretty paper napkin with pink, climbing roses was just right for the card. I stencilled the wording and added some prisma glitter to the centre of the flowers and a pink sparkly dragonfly. The texture of the card feels like linen and the colours are soft and subdued.

Nostalgic Happy Birthday Card

https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/LinLovesPaper
In my paper stash, I have some sweet vintage wrapping paper and I used some for part of the card. The girl is reminiscent of Holly Hobbie, but she isn't, although they both have adorable bonnets. I have lots more of the paper so I am making a little notebook to match the card.

I am really enjoying using fabric scraps on my cards and this time I made a little window box from some cardboard scraps.

Fabric Scrappy Cards

I bought a heap of quilting squares at a garage sale recently.... not for quilting, but for my cards. I often put fabric on my cards and they seemed just perfect for what I had in mind.

Yes, I know this one is crooked...I was trying for a slight angle but it didn't quite work out the way I wanted. My daughter has her birthday in a few days and I know she will love this card.

Teatime Treats Birthday Card

I couldn't resist this adorable tray of treats on a serviette so I turned it into a card. I added some sparkle to the cakes and edged the background paper with Kindyglitz.

Sweet 16

I made this card for my daughter's 16th birthday today. The background is marbled and the dress was cut from very glittery, silver card and embellished with sparkly flowers and a ribbon waistband. For the finishing touch I added a silver coathanger.

Before she left for school today, I showed her a powerful email that was sent to me about thankfulness. In her journey through life, I want her to continue with her love and compassion that she has for others.
