I wanted to make myself a little purse to pop in my handbag to hold just my licence, credit card and a $10.00 note. Sometimes when I am out and about I don't want to take my regular purse which is quite heavy with far too many things in it! I used pretty serviette (napkin) paper and Mod Podged it onto heavy white paper. To give it some durability I Mod Podged the outside as well.
The size is 11cm x 9cm so it is quite small. I embellished it with a gorgeous tiny doily (hand-dyed by my friend) and a sweet half-pearl. I will test it out and let you know how it goes....

Little Notebook/Journal
I have made another little notebook, again using up lots of my scraps. The picture on the front is a much smaller version of one of my altered art cards. I felt a little sparkle was just right for the pink dotty dress.

Quiet Critters in my Craft Room

While Out Op Shopping....
One of my favourite pastimes is op shopping. I love the thrill of finding something absolutely gorgeous that I can either fix up or is just fine the way it is.
My heart skipped a beat when I came across this fabulous chair. I had my husband sit on it while I rushed to the counter to buy it. When op shopping, it is the quick and the dead!!
This is a close up of the fabric.... don't you just love it? I am still at a loss as to why anyone wouldn't want this beautiful chair but it has found a loving home with me and is certainly cherished. I have it in our bedroom, away from messy teenagers, and is just perfect for quiet reading or just thinking.....

Impossible Pie Recipe
One of my favourite desserts to make is Impossible Pie and as we were having a lamb roast dinner on the weekend, it was the perfect choice. It would have to be the easiest thing to cook and I have been making it for many, many years. The best part is that you most likely already have all the ingredients. There are many recipes about, but I love the one from Sweet Old-Fashioned Favourites from the The Australian Women's Weekly.
1/2 cup plain flour
1 cup caster sugar (I use 1/2 cup)
1 cup coconut
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
125g butter, melted
2 cups milk
Lightly grease straight-sided 24cm pie dish. Sift flour into bowl, stir in sugar, coconut, eggs, essence, butter and milk. Pour into prepared pie dish, bake in moderate oven about 45 minutes or until lightly browned and set. Serve warm or cold with cream or fruit if desired. Serves 6 to 8.
