I made a paper patchwork quilt for my dolly in her matchbox (see previous post) and then when I went to make her bed, realised it was just a fraction too wide. It really needs to be exact otherwise her little bed doesn't slide in and out of the matchbox with ease.
What to do.....
I had also been making some cute stickers and was wanting to use them, plus I have heaps of a lightweight foam. Inspiration hit.... how about a little book for sewing needles? It was worth a try and this is my first attempt.

Matchbox Art...Prudence and the Rainy Day
I love matchboxes.... I guess because I also love dollhouses and teeny tiny things. Once I have used a box of matches, a world of possibility is now open to me. I covered this one in pretty serviette (napkin) paper.
I still wasn't sure what it was going to be. It is raining outside so I thought it could be a sweet little bed for someone.... but who? I looked through lots of my supplies and found just the right person... Prudence! She was very happy to snuggle in bed.
I made her a pillow, some sheets and a comfy quilt out of paper. Teddy doesn't like the rain much either....

Mod Podged Little Purse
I wanted to make myself a little purse to pop in my handbag to hold just my licence, credit card and a $10.00 note. Sometimes when I am out and about I don't want to take my regular purse which is quite heavy with far too many things in it! I used pretty serviette (napkin) paper and Mod Podged it onto heavy white paper. To give it some durability I Mod Podged the outside as well.
The size is 11cm x 9cm so it is quite small. I embellished it with a gorgeous tiny doily (hand-dyed by my friend) and a sweet half-pearl. I will test it out and let you know how it goes....

Little Notebook/Journal
I have made another little notebook, again using up lots of my scraps. The picture on the front is a much smaller version of one of my altered art cards. I felt a little sparkle was just right for the pink dotty dress.

Quiet Critters in my Craft Room
Another batch of quiet critters are ready to go to school tomorrow. They really are so much fun to make and I will miss having them in my craft room....
Fabric Scrappy Card

I am really enjoying using fabric scraps on my cards and this time I made a little window box from some cardboard scraps.
